Shaykh Abu Noman Tarek

Shaykh Abu Noman Tarek brings over 20 years of multifaceted service across Canada, excelling as an Imam, counselor, educator, chaplain, humanitarian worker, and consultant.

His academic journey—spanning Bangladesh, Canada, and beyond—has earned him three Bachelor's degrees in Islamic Theology and Jurisprudence, Language and History, and Computer Science and Engineering, as well as two Master’s degrees in Islamic Theology and Jurisprudence and Psychotherapy. A Hafiz of the Qur'an, Shaykh Tarek is also a registered psychotherapist specializing in Islamically integrated and Prophetic psychotherapy.

Currently serving as the Secretary of the Canadian Council of Imams (CCI), he was awarded the YMCA Peace Medal in 2022 and the Learn, Lead, and Inspire Award by the Grand Erie District School Board in 2023. His humanitarian efforts include facilitating the resettlement of over 100 refugee families in 16 Canadian cities.

Despite a demanding schedule, he remains dedicated to his family and continues to inspire as a motivational speaker on national and international platforms, including television. A passionate advocate for Dawah, he has guided over 600 individuals in embracing Shahadah.
